Chris Richardson at Kong Summit
During the Kong Summit in September Chris Richardson, founder of CloudFoundry.com, gave an excellent talk describing the characteristics of microservice architectures. He outlined the benefits of microservices, including testability and deployability. He also discussed the drawbacks. Microservices aren’t a silver bullet, and Chris explained some of the factors to consider before deciding to break up a monolithic codebase. In the talk, Chris provided an overview of the microservice pattern language, describing architectural patterns that can help frame the decision to move to microservices, and design your implementation.
